About
Hello, I’m Di, a qualified mental health professional and I aim to create a safe and nurturing space for you to share your journey and overcome life’s challenges.
I believe in the incredible resilience and unique strengths that every woman possesses. My commitment is to guide women on a path toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a more fulfilling life. With more than 20 years of experience in professional settings, I bring a wealth of expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns.
As a Mental Health Social Worker, I understand the importance of recognizing that every woman’s mental health needs are unique, shaped by her individual experiences in life. Central to my practice is acknowledging and addressing external factors that may affect a woman’s overall health and well-being.

“Shame dies when stories are told in safe places.”

Women’s counselling is a specialised and supportive process tailored to women’s unique needs. It involves a trained counsellor or therapist who works with women to explore and understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and life experiences from a gender-sensitive perspective.
This therapeutic approach aims to assist women in addressing and resolving personal, emotional, or psychological challenges that are often specific to their lives.
Through open and confidential conversations, women’s counselling provides a safe space for self-reflection, personal growth, problem-solving, and the development of coping strategies, with an emphasis on issues such as mental health, relationships, life transitions, and other concerns relevant to women’s well-being and emotional health.
Trauma – Anxiety – Depression – Domestic Violence
Grief and Loss – Cancer – Stress – Self Esteem
Life transitions – Work stress – Parenting

I offer an alternative approach for survivors of trauma by providing trauma-informed therapy. This approach empowers you to take control of your path to recovery. I specialise in working with women who have faced recent and/or past traumatic experiences, and I am passionate about helping you heal.

Cancer
I am located at the Bloomhill Wellbeing Centre in Buderim on a weekly basis, and I offer a deep understanding of the emotional and social struggles encountered by people coping with cancer. It is perfectly normal to experience a spectrum of emotions, ranging from fear, anxiety, anger, to depression, at any point from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and empathetic response, with a primary focus on your emotional well-being and comfort during this challenging period. My commitment extends to supporting partners, family members, friends, and caregivers, all of whom hold a crucial and invaluable supportive role in the lives of those affected by cancer.
